Happy Birthday Sadie!!

I cannot believe she is two! It truly seemed only yesterday she was born. Even though she had the flu, I don't think she would have skipped out on her birthday. She tried on everything she got and just added to the previous item. I love you Sadie Sue!

Our Summer in a Nutshell

I haven't blogged in awhile. It seems pictures and memories pile up with little time to sort them. Pictures truly say a thousand words and remind us of the blessings we have been given. Mine are 6, 3, and almost 2.

Anyway... Chase turned six! He had a pirate birthday party with cousins. He wanted a pirate cake so we looked online and found a good one. It didn't say in the demo that it needed cinder blocks to hold the thing together! It's a good thing we took a picture when we did...for it was soon to be shipwrecked! It split right in two from the weight of the cake. It still looked pretty cool and Chase thought it was better that way. He's so good to see the positive. If a toy gets broken he still plays with it and says, "It's like a new toy because it's different now!" If we could all be like that in life.

Splash pad fun.....I'm going to miss those outings when there is snow on the ground!

I'm not sure where Sadie gets her skin and hair color??? I'm not complaining....she's so beautiful. But I'm sure I'm just bias!

Andrea's wedding day was beautiful. It was fun to dress up and have a PARTY!

She finally smiled but my "look at the camera" finger got in the way....ya know how that goes:)

This one was due for nappy time!
Brock and Dan did a carpet job in New Mexico....and we tagged along. It was so good to see Nicole and the kiddos. There wasn't much to do in the hotel but we kept ourselves entertained. The front desk guy never wants to see the likes of us AGAIN! Many a lifted eyebrow in our direction......."What? These aren't our kids!"As you can see....we went to Chuck-e-cheese (not sure how to spell his name) Anyway.....Marriner thought he was in a cheesy heaven taking a picture with a big smiling mouse!

Nicole REALLY wanted a picture with Chuck-e-cheese.....just too shy to ask him I guess!
We had ever-so-much-fun jumping on the hotel beds. I tried to get action shots...and the only one who didn't get much air was Sadie. I love to see her "jump". Let's just say there is a BIG prep for a tiny little takeoff!

Kissing on a purple swing....could life GET any better!? This last shot is at a vintage cupcake shop in Ogden. The atmosphere AND the cupcakes are to die for!

Goin' Fishing!!

We went fishing in Brigham City at Brocks old bosses house. They have a pond stocked with fish. We caught one in the first five minutes and we thought this would be one of many fishies for the day. Well that one is all we caught...good thing we broke the camera out...cuz that was it!
We put our little friend back of course but not before the kiddos got to feel the slimy skin....Sadie shuddered and Marriner and Chase thought it was awesome!

After fishing, the boys stripped down (not pictured) to their underwear and went for a swim. Sadie fell in and got soaked and covered in sand....what a day!

Just reeling the big one in!

Marriner is 3!!!

I can't believe Marriner is 3!! He loved his birthday sooooo much. The next day he started crying and I asked his what was wrong. He asked "My birthday's gone?? " I said "yeah it was yesterday." He, with tears in his eyes said, "My birthday dot yost" (My birthday got lost). So sad. Brock went shopping for his birthday and boy did Marriner score big time. Everything he got, he wanted to share with Chase. He even made sure Chase got to eat a cool part of the cake(head or the tail I'm not sure which)
If you can't tell....it's a dino.

The Boys Are Back!!

I think this is the cutest picture. These boys are all 18 months apart...perfect stair steps!
It snowed when Nicole came for Nate's wedding...so the kids made the most of it.

Easter Egg Hunt!!

The kids had a great time looking for Easter eggs. Grandma and Grandpa Jensen hosted the annual Easter Egg Hunt....a true success!
Chase made sure everyone had a fair amount of eggs. And only one "numbered" egg for each person.....the numbered ones got you a prize. Chase won a squirmy worm.
Marriners face would light up every time an egg was found! Ahh.....to see life through the eyes of a two year old!
Sadie loved her little basket. She would carry it around for a while and then sit down and rummage through her findings...and then stand up and carry the basket on her arm again....so cute.
"Moim, Brooke took one of moine!" That's for you Britt :)
